In Southeast Asian cuisine, durian is often selected for processing into sweet or savory dishes. Both the flesh and seeds of the durian are edible, but the seeds need to be cooked before eating

Health benefit

Despite its unusual strong aroma, durian contains more nutrients than most fruits. Vitamin C, B vitamins, minerals, healthy fats, fiber, and several other health-beneficial compounds. This earned the fruit the title “King of the fruit”, given its many health benefits. Not only does eating durian can reduce the risk of cancer, containing Polyphenols which have the effect of inhibiting growth and even killing cancer cells. It also contains a lot of iron and folate that stimulate the production of red blood cells, to help people with anemia.

1. Ri6 Durian: A Vietnamese durian variety. The fruit has an oval shape and narrow bottom. The thin husk is green but turns yellow when is riped and the seeds are flat. Ri6 Durian’s pulps are even in size, light yellow, have a characteristic aroma, and a sweet taste

2. Monthong Durian: A Thai durian variety. The fruit is green or gray, ovate or oblong, with thick spines. The pulp has a light aroma, light yellow color, thick and dry, can be preserved for a long time.
